Frequently asked questions.
Where can I buy Frandles?
I have sales on Instagram Stories 4-5 times a year, but I’m hoping to open up the “Shop” section of this website soon!
Can I buy Frandles wholesale?
Unfortunately, not right now. I only make very small batches of ceramics and can’t discount items in bulk.
Can I custom order Frandles?
I’m not taking custom orders right now, but be on the lookout for Frandles Instagram Stories sales if you’re interested in purchasing something!
My Frandles broke during shipping, what now?
Send me a DM on Instagram, or an email at FrandlesCandlesCo@gmail.com ASAP! I will do my best to re-make the item or reimburse you.
Can I reuse my Frandle Candle?
Yes! You have two options for cleaning out a Frandle:
1) Remove the wick & metal base. Heat the Frandle in a microwave for 10-20 second increments until all remaining wax has melted. Pour out the remaining wax in the trash (not down a drain!!) and clean with dish soap & hot water.
2) Put your Frandle in the oven WHILE YOU PREHEAT to 200 degrees Farenheit. If you put the Frandle in an already-preheated oven, the ceramic may experience thermal shock and crack. Wait 10-15 minutes or until all wax has melted. Using an oven mitt, pour out the remaining wax in the trash (not down a drain!!) and clean with dish soap & hot water.
Why are Frandles so expensive?
Pricing depends on a couple factors:
1) Material cost (clay, tools, wheel, kiln firings, glazes, packaging, etc)
2) Time (pieces can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to make, especially squiggles and mugs)
What does Frandles mean?
Frandles = Frances + Candles. My middle name is Frances and I initially only made candles. Now that my ceramic skill level has increased, I’ve become more interested in making forms other than cylinders for candles.
