I’m Katie Frances, the hands behind Frandles.
I started Frandles in Brooklyn around 2017 out of a need to keep my hands busy. Originally, I only made candles (Frandles Candles), but since then, it has turned into so much more. It’s a hobby, a side hustle, a distraction, and even a form of therapy. I’m a slow “maker,” I don’t batch things out in tens or hundreds. I make them one-by-one. Everything here is thrown, fired, glazed, shipped, and sold by yours truly. When I’m not making ceramics, I’m making commercials as an Art Director in Seattle, Washington.
